Hey Look!!

To look it up on eBay.  Keyword: Fuzz O Loop
The Fuzz O Loop.  A great sounding Fuzz Face clone with a cool switchable feedback loop inside.   eBay>>LINK <<

Here's what you get with this pedal:

Features:
  • Great sounding fuzz, thicker and heavier distortion than a standard silicon Fuzz Face
  • Built in switchable feedback loop to make crazy and sick noises
  • Tough aluminum enclosure
  • Contact info from me, the builder, in case there is a problem and it needs repair
  • Made in USA, hand soldered and tested
  • Made by electronic tech/engineer, degreed

You turn on and off the feedback loop with your foot.  The BFEED control affects the pitch of the feedback.  When you connect a volume pedal(the kind that the signal goes through, not one of the EV-5 or Line6 controller pedals) you will change the pitch without having to bend over and use your hands.  You'll appreciate the crazy amount of sounds you can get with this beast!  Works best with a volume pedal that has approx. 250K Ohm pots in it.

Check out the video below.  It shows the Fuzz part and the feedback part.  At 5:07 I start talking about the feedback part.  Before that is the description of the fuzz and the controls.

People Dig This One...

Cool Ass Ring Modulator Pedal

Just click on this link to see the listing on eBay.

Would you like to expand your tonal palette with a really cool effect, hand built in the USA?

This is the Bumble-Puppy Ring Modulator (named after a kids' game) from Smoking Heart Designs. With it you can move away from normal guitar sounds and effects into a more creative and interesting zone. It sounds really great--compared to other ring modulators it has a very warm and round tone. It has frequency, gain, buzz, and bypass controls. The buzz control(since it's named after a bee) makes the effect sound more fuzzy and ratty and it cuts some low end from the signal. The frequency, gain, and bypass controls work like the typical pedal.

Features:
  • Hand made, hand tested
  • Built by a degreed electronic technician
  • very nice warm sound
  • no need to adjust to remove carrier noise, noise is 99% filtered out
  • wet/dry signal ratio is set at perfect ratio at the factory, no need to adjust
  • uses the most common 9V DC adapter that is found on nearly all pedalboards(negative center terminal)
  • Strong metal chassis with lock washers on jacks and pots
  • engineered to have super low noise
  • input buffer
The video is a demo of the unit working and gives good additional information:

New Pedal--RibBit Bit Crush/Modulator

New Product! Ships within 2 days!

This effect is not for normal people. Of course, you're probably a guitarist--and we aren't normal anyway. Some pretty sick sounds have emerged from this beast, the newest pedal from Smoking Heart Designs.

This is the RibBit, the bit-crushing beast from Smoking Heart Designs. Oh, what will they come up with next? With this pedal you will move away from normal guitar sounds and effects into a more creative and interesting zone. It has frequency, gain, jump, and bypass controls. The jump control(since it's named after a frog) makes additional harmonics and volume come out of the pedal. The gain and bypass controls work like the typical pedal. Frequency adjusts an internal oscillator, but the sound coming out of the pedal does not necessarily vary its frequency directly with the control.

Features:
  • Hand made, hand tested, hand soldered
  • Built by a degreed electronic technician
  • makes lots of weird noises
  • uses the most common 9V DC adapter that is found on nearly all pedalboards(negative center terminal)
  • Strong metal chassis with lock washers on jacks and pots
  • input buffer
I
know what you're thinking: "this doesn't look like much, it looks like
the guy just slapped it together." Or "I'd like to get a
unique/boutique/USA made pedal but I'm not sure about the quality of a
pedal that isn't manufactured by a big company." Both are reasonable questions. As you can see, the pedal is made with care, and this assures you of its quality:

I've
tested this pedal with other pedals, with several types of guitar
pickups, different amplifiers, in different order of pedals. It will
happily accept input from and feed another pedal's input.
I am VERY proud of the work I
have done. There are no DACs or ADCs to dehumanize your signal. It is shielded appropriately to reduce internal noise.
My cred: electronic tech, 13 years experience, degree, and B.A. in music to go with.

The video is a demo of the unit working and gives good additional information(the "meat" of the demo, probably the coolest stuff and most accessible sounds start at about 4 minutes, but who am I to judge?) :)

New Pedal Alert!!

This is the new Smoking Heart Designs pedal, the Fuzz O Loop. It is a Silicon NPN Fuzz Face clone with added features. What added features? Well it has a built in feedback loop that makes the pedal into a crazy noise oscillator machine. And if that weren't enough, you can connect a volume pedal to the control jack and control the feedback loop with the pedal. It affects the pitch, tone, and volume of the feedback.

Features:
  • Tough aluminum enclosure
  • Good quality, not cheap switches
  • Made in USA, hand soldered and tested
  • Made by electronic tech/engineer, degreed
  • Great sounding fuzz, thick and juicy
  • Makes nasty and sick noises

The pedal has a button for turning on the feedback loop. The BFEED control affects the pitch of the feedback. If you connect a volume pedal(the kind that the signal goes through, not one of the EV-5 or Line6 controller pedals) you can change the pitch without even bending over and using your hands. And what a crazy amount of sounds you can get with this beast! Works best with a volume pedal that has approx. 250K Ohm pots in it.
